2014 Cohort Blogs!
In the next couple of weeks we'll be rolling out the 2014 cohort's personal blogs. Over the next two years they will be sharing with us the ups, downs, twists, and turns that they encounter as they progress with their projects. The first blog we'll be sharing is Danielle Wu's.
Danielle is a rising Junior from St. Charles, MO majoring in Art History and Archaeology with a minor in Art General Studies. Her project explores what the varied representations of women in contemporary Chinese art reveal about the current roles and attitudes of Chinese women.
Please check out and follow her blog at daniellewu.com!

Mellon Application Help Session
Mellon Mays Fellowship applications are due Friday, February 17th, 2012!
In order to help you feel as confident as possible about your application, current fellows will be hosting a help session on Thursday, February 9th from 5:30-7pm in Ridgely 417. This will be like open office hours, as you can stop by whenever works for you. Current fellows will be present to go through your prompts with you and help answer any questions. Please email (mellon.wustl@gmail.com) if you plan on stopping by and when so we have a feel for how many people to expect.
SPECIAL NOTE: No matter where your writing is at next Thursday, we encourage you to stop by! Even if you have bullet points to go off of that is better than nothing. Our main goal is to help strengthen your prompt responses, not to judge or harshly critique you. Please let us know if you cannot make this time and we can try to work something else out.

Chancellor's Fellows Come to Visit
In preparation for the Mellon Mays Regional Conference next week in Chicago, at which all current fellows will be presenting a 10 minute presentation on their projects, we Mellons will be presenting to the older versions of ourselves, the Washington University Chancellor's Fellows. Wash. U.'s MMUF program began a relationship with the Chancellor's Fellow last year and will be continuing to build on the twice beneficial bond over the course of this year.
